Hi friends,
We hope you having a wonderful weekend. Mom is late with blog today as she was having laptop problems so she was worried she would not be able to share my last weekends fun, and it was so much fun.
We took the bus to the Shi Tzu meet up where I played with lots of fluffies. Mom took me in the back pack which I do not like so in the end took me out of it on the bus and I lay at her feet plus got lots of pets from all the passengers.

On the bus

Meeting some of my fluffy friends
Using the magic word to get my attention, you can see on the video BOL.

I hate this thing but Mom said it would be safer for our next event, guess who won and got out of it, Nili
Then.. I went to my first DogFest, so much fun and lots too eat.

This is an annual event in our Dog Park, a fundraiser for the Mckinley Elementary school – lots of fun and treats plus so much more

Stopping for a sniff and drink at the Puppy Pub

Jeffreys – the best of the best treats in the city plus their raw food is so good

One of the Rescue Organizations there

I tasted their food and it was so so good and healthy

Mom never knew they existed, what a brilliant idea

Another great rescue in the Bay Area

This is one of Mom’s favorite rescue organizations

I am tired and want to go home, too much chaos for me
There were so many booths, fancy dress competitions, kids games and and and Mom said she could have stayed there longer but I wa tired and wanted to go home so we left. I will add to my link page the links of all the booths, both food/treats plus other information.
I otherwise have been spending time in the dog park and tomorrow am going to the Chihuahua meet up, as it is a sad day for Mom tomorrow as it is one year since Layla crossed over the Rainbow Bridge so we going to the lake where her ashes are to say hello, it is at the same park as the meet up.

Remembering Layla, her last time in the park 3 May 2024 wearing her pink hoodie that said Little Miss Everything, I miss her daily xxxx
So friends this is a weekend of sadness but happiness cos as Mom says she was blessed to have Layla for over 14 years of fun and adventures and now she feels it is time to do the same with me, Nili
Have a wonderful week and please be safe
with a woof and love from Nili
Oh gosh! I can’t believe it’s been a year since Layla crossed the rainbow bridge. I remember you telling us about Dog Fest last year. It certainly looks like a lot of fun. I’ve got to get over there with Henry one of these years. Tech issues are the worst. I hope they are all behind you now. Sending hugs and pets your way…and Henry says Nili needs a cookie
Terri it seems like yesterday she was here, I miss her dearly daily. I also cannot believe how she was with me at DogFest last year and it would be amazing if you came to the next dog event in the Bay Area. Henry and Nili could play non stop while we drank coffee or tea together. Sending hugs your way and Nili says carrots for Henry as she is back on diet and he needs to join in by eating them LOL xx
Looks like you had a great time!! What a wonderful occasion. It always warms my heart to see how much you do with your pup. She’s really getting a lot out of life thanks to you.
Andrea thank you, I try plus its good for me also to get out and see the world and what is going on, it is a win win situation and she loves it of course and gets spoiled.
You sure were having fun and it looks like a fun place with lots of vendors too. Hugs to your Mom on this sad anniversary. Thanks for joining Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Terry it was an exhausting weekend but well worth it also, Nili ate her way through DogFest LOL and it was good for me to be busy mentally. I miss Layla terribly but in my heart I know she would not want me to be unhappy as she was such a happy girl. Thank you as always for your Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop and have a wonderful week
What a wonderful event! I wish we had that here, so much fun for dogs & their people. I love that they support all the rescues too. I can’t believe Layla is gone for a whole year already. I know that pit in the stomach, I still ache so badly for Icy and Phoebe, both my heart dogs. They’re with us in our hearts forever.
Cathy it is a great fundraiser for the school too and so much fun, Nili had a ball and ate her way though the entire event. I cannot believe it is a year too but I am also thankful she is not suffering anymore and at peace. Icy and Phoebe were so blesse to you have you in their lives
