Thank you

Dear Friends,

As you know Thanksgiving is next week and November is the month of thanking everyone, so I have decided to write a letter to everyone thanking you.

I first want to thank my followers and friends for supporting us the past year, reading my blogs, sharing my stories, and laughing with me about my fun adventures and anecdotes.

A special thank you to my vet, Dr Gervais of the San Francisco Animal Medical Center for putting up with me, keeping me healthy and giving Mom tips on how to keep me safe in my old age.

I also have a special thank you to the fantastic pet products that are keeping me healthy. As you all know I am a senior now and must stay healthy so am going to share with you the products that are helping me and Mom swears by them

Mom feeds me Dr Harvey’s Raw Vibrance food, which is full of all the fruits and veggies I need, she adds chicken to it which makes it extra yummy, plus giving me a perfect balanced meal. And of course, Fish Oil which is so important for my skin, fur and brain. And I must not forget their treats which are the best of the best, yummmm.

I get the Lions Mane which slows down Dementia and since getting them mixed in my food I am so much more aware of what is going on around me, which of course makes me happier.

The other mushroom mix I am getting from them is the Five Defenders which is a blend of organic extracts of Reishi, Shiitake, Maitake, Turkey Tail mushrooms and Chaga.

The weekend has arrived

TGIF!!! It is Friday and my weekly woof so where do I start.

After 4 Halloween events two weeks ago Mom last weekend was exhausted and I am not sure why, we had so much fun although she told me her back was sore from pushing me in the stroller, I told her that is her job, and she should not complain but when you are getting old I suppose you can get a sore back.

I am a Princess in my chariot

So last weekend, it was raining most of the weekend, so we went for walks in the neighborhood, shopping and just a slow weekend, I decided to give her a break but she is not allowed to push her luck and this weekend weather permitting we are going to the park.

Yesterday, finally the sun came out and the weather was chilly but sunny which was nice, we wandered around the neighborhood enjoying the great weather. I made sure that all housework is done so the weekend we are free for some fun.

I need to see my doggy friends in the park as I am tired of Mom and need some new smells to sniff, treats from uncles in the park, and some fresh air, so I have already told Mom she has to take me.

I am grumpy as I want to be outside more but it is drizzling

While we are enjoying life here our thoughts are also with all friends in Florida that are suffering from the Hurricane and hoping everyone is safe and they were prepared for it. Every time there is a natural disaster Mom runs to check our emergency bag to make sure all is good. Are you prepared ?

So, my friends have a wonderful safe weekend, with lots of treats and fun, please share with us your plans,

With a woof and love from

Layla

Adopt a Senior Pet Month

Halloween is over, phew, we had so much fun last weekend I am still recovering LOL so this weekend we are lying low and just going to our regular dog park weather permitting.

November has arrived and it is one of the important months of the year as it is Adopt a Senior Pet Month.

There are so many pets in shelters, they are overflowing and the saddest of all is the amount of seniors that are dumped in a shelter.

Seniors should be able to live their golden years in comfort, in a warm house with love, not in a cold shelter which is so not good for their health. I get so mad when I see the seniors that have been dumped in the shelters, bewildered, not knowing what is going on, being dumped there like garbage because of their age.

A pet is family, should be with us till the end of their life, their love is unconditional, they have so little demands, but love, food and comfort and we should provide that to them till the end not decide that because they are aging they are unworthy of our love, dumped in a shelter and then the human goes and adopts a younger one, and the circle carries on. It makes me sick that people can do that.

So, if you are wanting to adopt a pet, or know someone who is looking to add a pet to their family, speak out for the seniors and help them find loving homes.

Have a safe weekend and lets us pray that all senior shelter pets find homes this month

Love Layla
