Halloween is here

Spread the love

TGIF!

October is coming to an end and although it means that Domestic Violence Awareness Month might be ending but it does not mean we must forget about Domestic Violence that happens daily all over the world and we must not forget the abuse the poor animals go through because of it. We must keep standing up for them and be their voices.

With our reminder of this awful daily occurrence below is a list those in this situation should try to remember to do, keeping a journal and having it all written down will make life easier when one runs as they will have proof. It is not easy to do but the more information you have the better.

We pray you will be safe and get away safely from the abuse.

Halloween is a fun holiday for kids but can be really frightening for pets and therefore we should take all the precautions to keep them safe.

Layla did not like to get dressed up as she is uncomfortable in a costume and her comfort comes first in my eyes although in the past LOL I did try so am sharing with you some of her pictures , Baby in her famous costume and Nili I have not yet decided what to do so am sharing a photo of her wearing a sweatshirt the other day her first outing with clothing.

This photo I love so much of Layla

Below is a list of how to keep your pets safe during Halloween as they are part of our family and need to be.

So as this is the last blog for October and another month is beginning next week we would like to wish everyone a Happy Halloween, do not OD on candies LOL and of course please keep your pets safe.

With lots of love from Nili

    • Terry I agree with you there is no excuse for any kind of abuse. Thanks so much for the compliments and a special thank you for your Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Happy Halloween to all of you, woofs from Nili

  1. Your abuse reminders are excellent, it’s sad anyone would need them and some do need them right now.

I hope you have a fabulous rest of October.

  2. Sending love and support to those who need.

Halloween can be a rough time on our pets and plenty of exposure to things that are highly toxic to them. Safety is key!

  3. You’re so right. Just because Domestic Violence Awareness month is coming to an end, doesn’t mean we forget about it and its impact until next year. We can never share Halloween pet safety tips too often because following these precautions really are the way to keep them safe.

    • Hindy we must always speak out against abuse of all kinds as our voices help those that do not have a voice in is a year long process. Safety tips for Halloween and all holidays is a must as there is always someone who does not think about their pets till they have to take them to a vet.

  4. I love your safety reminders for pets. Some people really are too reckless and silly come Halloween. New Zealand isn’t meant to have it on the scale of America but kids are encouraged to beg from door to door in cheap costumes and get cheap sweets. None of the serious effort and fun US people put into their decorations, sad really.

    • Marjorie thank you for loving my safety tips as they are so important and people do not think about them when celebrating Halloween and then land up with massive vet bills. As for the kids trick or treating I personally think it has become very commercial and the fun of it all has got lost. I never knew they did it in New Zealand wow that is new to me.

  5. I’m so glad that you and Baby escaped. I agree with Brian, domestic violence is never, ever acceptable. I always love that you include a list of what to do if your furry friend is in a violent situation, and your Halloween tips are always great. I love Baby as a Fire Hydrant. Lyala was the prettiest little Diva ever! And sweet Nili is just darling! I’m so glad you’ve been blessed with them all. You are a pawsome dog mom! Henry says Nili needs a cookie.

    • Terri I was really blessed to have been able to escape with Baby and Domestic Violence or any form of abuse in never acceptable and we need to speak out for those that cannot. My Halloween tips are so important as there are always some pet owner that is not careful. Thank you for your compliments on the Baby and Layla’s costumes they were just adorable and I so enjoyed dressing them up. Nili will get a costume next year I have decided so she can carry on with the tradition. I try to be a good dog Mom like all of us LOL and thank you. Nili woofs lots of cookies for Henry please.

  6. Happy Halloween!! These are very good Halloween safety tips, it’s easy to for in the excitement of Halloween. I love that pink costume in Layla, such a beauty. Have fun on Halloween!

    • Cathy thank you and it is so important to be reminded of the safety tips. I loved the pink on Layla also, she looked adorable. Have fun safe Halloween

  7. I commend you for taking our past horrible DV experience and creating awareness to help others. I know your info will be very helpful. Maybe one day there will be no more violence. We can always hope.

The pee pic has me cracking up! Too funny. And always so wonderful to see pics of dear furangel Layla.

Miss Nili, you’re a cutie pie. Hope you and momma have a wonderful treat-filled, fun Howloween!

    Pinning to share and keep!

The pee pic makes me laugh every year LOL and I miss Layla so much on these holidays but Nili is slowly learning.. Thank you for sharing
