January is my month of freedom

Spread the love

TGIF !! Sun is out but it is still cold here.

Many of you do not know but January is the month of freedom for me, it is the month I ran from my ex, and it is the month I rescued Layla so it was her month of freedom also.

So, to celebrate our freedom, and the sun shining today,, so to celebrate I took Nili on an adventure on Tuesday with a picnic for me. It was a wonderful time and something I really needed.

I am hoping it wont be raining this coming week so I can take Nili somewhere else and get lots of fresh air which is so important for both of us. I also notice that if she is out and about in new places she is tired when we get home which makes my life easier.

Nili also wants to share she got a haircut this past week so she is looking clean and cute with short hair plus I can see her eyes LOL.

Do I look cute, Nili

So that was our adventure this week, plus we have lots of park time, plus last weekend she had a sleepover with Leon so who knows what we will do next week but there is never a dull moment here with the energizer bunny.

Please everyone stay warm and safe and make sure your pets are inside

With a woof and love from

Nil

  1. You look very sophisticated with your “new do”, though we do miss your darling curls a little bit … and yes, hope you do get to enjoy more wonderful outings to the park, what fun they seem to be.

    • Ann she loves going to dog parks and running around plus new ones mean new smells which makes it more exciting. I miss her curls also but with the rain they were getting matted
and I did not want skin problems. Always good to see you here and have a wonderful week, be safe and warm.

  2. I did not know that freedom had its own month. Our new girl is starting to enjoy some freedom–she does really well off-leash. So we go for short hikes and fetch sessions because it is indeed very cold here.

She also gets to sleep naked now. She was actually a bit confused by that at first. There is nothing as beautiful as naked dog, though.

    • Jana January is freedom month for me as it the month I ran from a toxic relationship. I am so happy your new girl is being good and learning and yes there
is nothing like a naked pup sleeping next you.

  3. Continue running free, you two!! Nili looks beautiful with her haircut, so sleek. These videos are adorable, Leon looks a bit like Jessie but he’s bigger. Jessie’s only about 9 lbs.

    • Cathy I love her haircut and I love doing videos of her playing as loves it, Leon is such a good boy and they both had so much fun. You are right he does look like Jessie and she is so so beautiful

  4. Freedom is such a precious thing, something most of us take for granted so I understand how this month would have special meaning. Of course it was also the start of your adventure with Layla so lots to celebrate. The video of Nili flying across the grass is adorable…glad she’s behaving herself so she too can enjoy some freedom. I hope you both have a lovely week.

    • Hindy she loves that park and runs like crazy which tires her out phew. Being free is such a wonderful feeling for me and Layla as she got out of the shelter and started a new life of adventures. Nili is behaving better each day but like us she has her mood swings and becomes mischievious LOL.

  5. Great haircut, Nili! I hope it doesn’t rain for you either this week. Although Henry would love some snow. You are definitely an Energizer Bunny! I hope you and your mom have a great month of freedom. I love that your mom named it that – so fitting! Henry says Nili needs a cookie to keep her energy up.

    • Thanks Terri for the compliment, I am also hoping it wont rain a lot this week so we can be out and about and enjoy the freedom and fresh air. I will tell Nili she needs cookies for her energy LOL but she is telling me Henry needs lots also.
