Hi friends,
Nili went on her first sleepover at a friend of mines house, I was a little concerned but Paul is amazing and a fantastic Dog Father so I knew she would be safe and spoiled. She was very good, got lots of long walks, played in his house with the toys and of course loved her food which thank goodness she eats. Paul made me laugh as he was impressed on how much fruit and veggies she eats, and him being a vegan we decided she could become om too.

Paul took this photo of me looking for Mom, Nili
Last Monday I joined a group from the LAASN and off we went. They had organized everything for us. It was at the retreat called
https://www.saintdorothysrest.org/
The place is spotless, the food excellent, the staff friendly and helpful and it was the best thing I have done in years and cannot wait for the next one, I really need to go into nature more. For me it was paradise and I did not want to go home.

This is what I woke up to every morning

Main Building and Dining Room

One of our meals, all of then were delicious and adapted for vegans and folks on special diets

The cabin I slept in

Russian River, about 30 minutes from the retreat, I went swimming in the river with ducks, it was awesome

Crossing Golden Gate Bridge going home
So as you can see I for once spoiled me and had magical 3 days, recharged my batteries and now back to the normal daily life,
Have a wonderful week, with love and woofs from Nili and Me
That looks awesome, and I’m so happy you finally did something just for you. It’s long overdue and you certainly deserve it! Nili’s looking for adorable in the picture, I just wonder how much she was able to wrap Paul around her little paw!!
Hindy I so ne3ded it and it did me the world of good, I did not want to come home it is so peaceful and beautiful there. Nili completely controlled Paul and had a wonderful time
I’m so glad you got to go! Everyone needs a break sometimes.
It was amazing and I did not realize how much I needed it
Oh, that looks so wonderful and peaceful and a great place to relax, recharge, and reset! I think we all need to try to do this for ourselves every now and again…plus, I do love the name – St. Dorothy’s! Thank you for sharing this with us…I am so glad you made the time for you! And I bet sweet Nili had a fun time visiting with her dog father! Although, I bet she was very excited to see her momma!
Dorothy it was just what I needed, a couple of days in nature recharging my battery. I missed Nili but I needed to do it as she also needs to learn to be with others and Paul was just amazing with her. She was so excited to see me and it made me smile big time.
That is so great! And what a wonderful welcome home from Nili!
How fun! St. Dorothy sounds like a magical spot and a perfect spot for a retreat. I bet Nili was super excited to see you when you got back. Those welcome homes are the best of leaving. Henry says Nili needs a cookie for being such a good pup.
Terri it was paradise and I wish I could go again soon, especially as I know now Nili was ok. I agree with you her welcome home was so adorable she could not stop wagging her tail and licking me. Nili woofs cookie for Henry
