March is Pet Poison Prevention Awareness Month

Spread the love

TGIF !!!!!!!!!

Woof to all my paw friends from my neighborhood.

We have been very busy here so Mom is staying out of mischief.

Last weekend I had a fluffy sleep over, Pierre and Leopold came to spend the weekend with us and their Mom was moving. It was fun to have guests although I did sleep a lot BOL.but best part of it was the treats as Mom was giving to our friends so I was getting also. I was hoping for a midnight feast like you have at sleepovers but mom told me that once my teeth are cleaned the treats are over. I do not agree with Mom.

I also went to the park this week and Mom found out that they have a small dog meet every day at 11.30 so she is going to start taking me to meet small dogs. I am really excited.

  1. I would love these as a doggy printable because this information is vital. So many people to not know that simple things around the home and garage can kill a pet.

PS I am glad you had a fun sleepover (sorry you didn’t get ore treats though!)

    • Marjorie am going to be making printabless this week and will share them with you as soon as they ready. As for the treats she is not suffering LOL we need to watch our weight also. But the sleepover was so much fun.

  2. Such important information, more people need to know about some of these. My cat was poisoned (still don’t know what she got into) she almost died. There are so many things that are toxic to our pets that we are unaware of.

  3. This is such important information. I had no idea how many plants weren’t safe until I started looking at what we could plant now that we purchased a home!

  4. This is SUCH an important conversation to have. There are many hazards in our homes that well-meaning dog owners aren’t aware are as dangerous as they are. From my experience in the pet space, I find that most situations involving poisoning with pets aren’t from a lack of care – it’s a simple lack of information. They do what they can to keep their pets safe, but they aren’t aware of all the risks that are present.

    • Brit I agree with you and that is why we need to remind people before it is too late as many do not realize it. I am learning about the plants which is a major eye opener

  5. Thanks for helping spread the word Layla! Keeping our pets safe from harmful poisons is important. I’m so happy you enjoyed sleep over time. And now you have a new park to visit during the week. Nice! Enjoy. Spring is almost here.

    • Kamira my pleasure and we need to speak out to keep them safe. Spring is around the corner so for gardens especially we need to be reminded, take care

  6. Both the indoors and the outdoors harbor things that can poison our dogs. It changes with the season, and it is essential to be aware of what dangers lurk in our houses or outside of them.

  7. Excellent reminder to watch out for toxic substances, foods & plants in and around the home. Spring is a great time to do a sweep of your house & yard to ensure nothing dangerous is there for pets to get into. What a fun sleepover, looks like all the fluffs are having a great time. What a great find to see that there’s a daily meetup in your ‘hood, wish we had one here too.
