Happy Valentines Day

Spread the love

Hello fur friends,

Today is Valentines Day or as Mom calls it chocolate day, and she told me she is going to spoil herself with chocolate. I am doing what my sister would have done and that is speak for all the shelter animals. But before I start Mom deserves to spoil herself today, so she is going to a Valentine Party with friends and I am staying at home. I think she deserves it although I will miss her.

Mom and I had a long chat this week about Valentines Day, the same as she had every year with my sister Layla and how I do not need anything as I am a spoiled brat but how the animals in shelters need to be loved also so we decided to put a package together of goodies and we going to drop it off at one of the shelters.

Those animals do not deserve to be in shelters but in warm homes with lots of love, but we humans are to blame for that so as Mom says those caring humans who are speaking out for them must make sure also that they are spoiled on Valentine’s Day with love.

We are asking all our fur friends to please go to a shelter and donate food, treats or toys so that the animals can feel special love also. What could be better than seeing the smile of a dog or cat being spoiled like we are, it is a blessing.

I have a question? Who wants to be my Valentine?

We must not forget also today is a very important day for us, it is Pet Theft Awareness Day, something Mom cannot understand as we should be protected from those horrible thieves so it is so important to keep an eye on us at all times plus of course make sure our microchips are up to date so we can be found.

Happy Valentines Day everyone, make sure you spoil your mom or Dad with lots of licks and being good,

With woofs and love from Nili

  1. What a fabulous idea to donate to a shelter for Valentine’s Day! I love it! I bet Nili still got a yummy treat yesterday. I hope you enjoyed your party and got lots of chocolate.

I can’t understand how someone could steal a fur kid. Very shameful!

Henry says to give his buddy another cookie.

    Here’s a pawsome week ahead!

    • Terri she got spoiled rotten LOL but that is her life also. I so think shelter pets should be spoiled that day also as they are not to blame for their situation. I cannot understand how people do not watch their pets to prevent theft, they are our children. Nili woofs thank you Henry and have a wonderful week.

  2. I too think of Valentine’s Day as Chocolate Day! I have been indulging all weekend. Great idea to put together a package for a local shelter, wish I’d thought of that. Jessie would like to be Your Valentine, Nilli!

    • Cathy I also broke my diet and ate a chocolate or two and felt sick LOL. Thank you Jessie and I wish we could have a playdate, giving to the shelters is such a wonderful feeing also as they are being spoiled too.

  3. Love that idea! One of the the Husky rescues I promote did Valentines this year for their residents! Folks could “buy” (donation) a cute valentine card the rescue filled with treats and the rescue filed each dog getting it! Miss Nili is right, she doesn’t need a thing, she has all the love in the world from you! ❤️ Pinning this thoughtful post to share with others!

    • I love they did that, what a fantastic idea to raise funds for themselves. Nili needs nothing as she has everything a little girl could want plus more. Thank you for sharing

  4. Such a great way to spread the love! I just cleaned out my cupboards and am also donating a bunch of containers so they can make popsicle enrichment for the pups as well as blankets.

    • Tiffany what a wonderful idea, thank you and I am sure they will all love the popsicles especially in the summer, blankets are always needed so that is fantastic.
