I am growing up, Nili

Spread the love

TGIF!! Happy Friday friends, my angel sister Layla is watching me grow up from heaven and I think she would be proud of me.

We had a hectic week this week, Mom had lots to do, and she told me she is exhausted today BOL. So, this weekend we are taking it slow and weather permitting I am going to spend time in the park playing while Mom drinks her coffee. Mom has her coffee, and I have my treats which I think is fair.

On Wednesday I went to the groomers, I have been itching a bit so Mom decided I needed a haircut. I do not like them although they told Mom I was very good although I made sure I got lots of treats for the torture. We walked there about 2 miles and by the time we got there Mom was very tired but I as always had lots of energy. She left me there and went home to finish house cleaning and they texted her when I was ready. So, she cheated and took a bus to pick me up and then told me we were going to take a bus home. It was my first time on a bus which I did not like that much but Mom told me I will learn to ride them so we can go to different places but the best was on the way home we stopped in the park for some fun.

Walking to the groomers

Mommy don’t leave me please

Getting after the groom treats, do I look pretty ? I also got this bowtie from them

Sitting on the bus going home

The most exciting news this week is I am off a long leash now in the park and can run around like a lunatic burning off energy, chasing dogs and of course roll on the lawn especially after the groom BOL. It is so much fun, and I am being a good girl listening when Mom calls me and I run back to her, if I do that guess what? I get a treat, so it is so worth listening to Mom. I am being very good, not going far and having fun.

You can see me run fast chasing Charlie on the below video :

So, you see my friends, I am growing up, I can now run freely in the park but as Mom says to be a real grown up I need to stop pulling on the leash which I am slowly doing plus vacuuming the streets of all the food which is not good for me but so yummy.  Those are my new lessons till I excel in them. Mom is not such a bad teacher after all and she is very proud of herself BOL.

What are your plans this weekend? I hope you are going to have lots of fun and make memories. We cannot wait to hear and see the photos.

Be safe and have a wonderful week, stay warm

With a woof and love from Nili.

    • Terry I agree with you she does look pretty now plus running and chasing her friends in the park will be easier which she is loving. Thanks so much for your Thankful Thruwday Blog Hop as always as I love reading what is happening in your home with your cats.

  1. Wow Nili you’re doing so well. I know you were a bit of a handful at the beginning, but it’s understandable. We all have a learning curve. It’s very exciting to hear you’re doing well off a leash, and you have plenty of friends to chase. The groomer did a great job you look beautiful. Enjoy your week, can’t wait to hear what excitement you get up to.

    • Hindy she has come a long way and we still have more to learn, but I am relieved the park time can be fun for her plus tire her out LOL, I love her groom as there are no matts now and she is all clean and pretty. Have a wonderful week and the adventures are going to start now.

  2. I love Nili’s cute cut! They always smell so good and are so soft after a bath and grooming. I’m hoping I feel well enough to bathe and groom Henry this weekend. I’m glad the weather is a bit better for a few days. I have to say a 2 mile walk to and back from the groomer is a haul. I’m glad you took the bus when you went to get her. I bet she’ll get used to the bus in no time flat. Get your rest and enjoy your rest and park outings. Henry says Nili needs a cookie.

    • Terri she looks adorable after the cut and I was exhausted when we got home, but the exercise was good for both of us. The bus is something I am going to have to work on with her so I can take her places, one day at a time but she is doing so much better. I cannot wait to see Henry’s groom and make sure he get lots of cookies. Have a wonderful week.

  3. Nili you look super smart after your groom. You look really ready to stroll and show off your new cut AND bow tie. One thing young lady.. I KNOW that you will enjoy bus rides one days. They take you to new places so you can do more fun things. Give them a try OK?

    • Thank you for your compliment, I love the haircut also and her bow tie was just adorable. I am sure she will get used to bus rides and I am working on it so she is comfortable, I think I am going to try in the backpack which is safer.

    • Cathy I think she was just tired from the groomer and that is why she was not happy but with practice we will perfect it. I love her haircut and she seems more comfy with it also. I cannot wait to see Jessie with hers.
