Mothers Day has arrived

Another week has passed and it’s Mother’s Day on Sunday, woof. What are your plans for your Moms as I am still stuck for ideas. I know Mom loves her Starbucks coffee so maybe I will break my piggy bank and get her a coffee, what do you think?

This is my letter to Mom:

Dear Mom,

Thank you for rescuing me from that awful shelter where I was stuck in a cage. I am very blessed to have you as my Mom, you take such good care of me, worry when I do not feel well, put up with my quirks which are growing with age, you feed me well, homemade food and treats. You make sure I go to the groomer at least twice a year if not more, and there is so much more you do for me that the list can go on and on.

I might drive you crazy sometimes but that is part of being your furkid as I cannot be perfect, no one is.

Mom, woof thank you, thank you, Happy Mother’s Day

With love from your piggidy wiggidy munchkin, Layla

Mom did get a surprise this week and I am so happy for her, she had told the company Critter Zone that our Critter Zone had broken down, she had had it for over 8 years, and they were kind enough to send her a new one, so our house is now pet odor free plus it helps with my allergies. If anyone is looking for one they should check these out as they are awesome especially if you have multiple pets. Thank you Critter Zone with surprising me with a new one, I really appreciate it.

Now before I forget we must not forget that May is“Responsible Animal Guardian Month.”   Most of us with animals know that being responsible for our furry friends is a daily, year-round commitment. To highlight the importance of humans’ responsibilities to animals, and that is where Dog Moms are involved in such a big way.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the Pet Moms out there,

With a woof and love from Layla

Mothers Day

TGIF furfriends,

How are you all doing?

With us still on lock down nothing exciting has been happening in the Layla neighborhood but she got a bone, and caused my bed to be all slimy and then hid it, and guess what ? I am still looking for it as I am not sure where it is. Madam Mischief Maker is her new name.

See the video below what she was doing LOL.

This coming Sunday is Mothers Day, and as we are all Pet Moms I decided to to focus on some fun memories of Layla, how I feel being her Mom and of course hear your input too.

Layla as you all know came to me from a shelter in Los Angeles, she was a matted smelly mess when she arrived but I have no regrets. She pranced into my house, jumped on the bed and rolled all over it, I will not even say how bad the bed smelled that night, but for me as long as she was happy so was I. It was really exciting becoming a Dog Mom again, and I knew like everything else there would be baby steps with her, every day a new thing but well worth it.

I can say today, nine years later, I am proud and happy to be her Mom, she gives me unconditional love, makes me laugh, and yes I have spoiled her rotten, from pound to princess but would not change it for anything.

And yes, I am a Jewish Mom, I make sure she eats healthy, I watch over her with everything and sometimes I feel maybe I am over doing it. She actually eats better than me LOL.

So our question to you is : How do you feel being a Pet Mom ? What do you do for your furkid to make him/her feel extra special. Do you get upset when people tell you there is no such thing as a Dog Mom?

Happy Mothers Day to all you wonderful Mothers all around the world, who have opened your homes to pets and given them the life they deserve, and Layla would like to woof a special Happy Mothers Day to her Grandmother whom she has not met but on Skype and to my Mom, Happy Mothers Day, thank you for teaching me how to love animals and so much more, I am proud to call you Mom.

Material things come and go but the love from your Mother is something money cannot buy.

With a woof and love Layla

Dedicated to Mothers

TGIF !!!!!

This week Layla and I discussed it and we want to dedicate our blog to Mothers Day, to all those fantastic Moms out there that do so much for us and / or our fur kids.

Happy Mothers Day with love from Layla

To my Mom, although you live far away we wish you a Happy Mothers Day. You taught me about compassion, my love for animals comes from you, and I only wish we could celebrate over a lunch but just know you are in my thoughts, and although you have not met Layla I know you would have so much fun with her.

I am a Mom, not to a two legged child but a four legged child, that is my choice and although there are some that disagree with us calling them our fur kids I am proud to do so in a heart beat and am proud to be Mom to Layla and to all those that have crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

What is the definition of a Mother, I think there are so many definitions but this is mine and with Layla I try my hardest to live by it.

Being a Mom is being that person that gave birth to you, or with fur kids adopted you.

Being a Dog Mom we care for you, love you, bathe you, take you to the vet, give you toys, celebrate your gotcha day, shop for the best healthiest treats, take lots of photos and videos, comfort you when you are ill, and in a nutshell make sure you are always safe, happy and of course well fed LOL (That is the Jewish side of me)

It’s a blessing, a gift, a relationship that never ends and a love that never fades. I am your Mom and you are my baby.

So to all the Mothers out there, Layla and I want to wish you all a Happy Mothers Day, we hope you get spoiled and have a wonderful day.

With a Woof and Love from Layla
