Hi Friends, today I am doing what my angel sister Layla used to do, speaking out for the voiceless.
Today, 4 April, is National Stray Animal Day. It is a day to raise awareness about the plight of stray animals worldwide and encourage us to improve their lives, including adoption and responsible pet ownership.
The reason animals become strays is not their fault but humans. You might not agree with me but if your animal is microchipped, information up to date they are less likely to become a stray if they escape, their lives are safe, and they will not end up in shelters.
That is what happened to Nili. She was not microchipped so when she escaped from her former family, she landed up in LA Animal Control and the rest is history, she now lives the pampered life. She is microchipped and perfectly safe.

Mom is working hard to keep me healthy, she says from Pound to Princess I am, Nili
When adopting Nili I immediately put her on supplements to boost her immune system as I feel the younger they start getting them the healthier long term they are and I am a big believer of the mushroom supplements. I have added a new one to her diet, Mushroom Mobility Soft Chews for both Cats and Dogs.
The Ingredients in them are:
You can find them on this link : https://shop.realmushrooms.com/?ref=488

So, as you can see Mom is doing her best with me and I need to start listening to her more and behaving, which is really hard to do BOL. We have been going to the park at least twice a day at the moment cos it has been warm and sunny and I am loving it cos I can run around like crazy, chase the dogs and of course have become a mooch pooch begging for treats from everyone like all the other dogs do, Mom has asked everyone not to give me as she is watching my weight but BOL I get them whenever possible, Mom is now calling me chunky Monkey and is scared the vet will get angry with her BOL.

Sitting on the window sill barking at all the passers by – my new thing BOL, Nili
Our plans this weekend is to relax and take it easy as Mom says she needs to recharge her batteries and I might be nice and let her,
Have a wonderful weekend Friends and make lots of memories.
Love Nili
I completely agree with you…animals are a product of their humans. We are blessed with their company, and we need to take care of our furry buddies the best way possible. I started giving Henry immune mushrooms probably a year ago on your recommendation (and vet’s ok). He also gets the calm mushrooms when he gets stressed from the wind or silly neighbors, which helps amazingly! Super article! Pets and treats (maybe a half one so as to not get mom in trouble with the vet) from me and Henry.
Terri We are so blessed to have them in our lives, taking care of them as they are our kids and I am so happy that Henry is on the mushroom supplements as they are amazing and a healthy happy relaxed dog is the best of the best. Thank you for your compliment and the treats are a problem but am giving her carrots LOL which I hope as I do not want problems with the vet.
Yes, there are way too many strays because of way too many irresponsible humans. Hey Nili, running around twice a day should burn up those treat caloires sweet girl. Thanks for joining Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Terry it is so sad the amount of strays running around and not getting care or love and we need to step up to the plate and be responsible humans. I am hoping she will drop some calories off with all the exercise also. Thanks so much for your for your Thursday Blog Hop and sharing the lives of your cats who are just adorable.
This is a good choice! On top of the mushrooms, I also see Green Lipped Mussel in the ingredients. This is a great joint supplement that helps prevent arthritis.
I agree Andrea they are fantastic and the younger you start on them the less likely they will have problems at a older age, I love that they have green lipped mussels in them too.
From Pound to Princess – I Love that!! Yes, mom has made you a true Princess.
Yes she has become a princess LOL but a mischiefmaker also.
There are way too many strays thanks to humans. We have several ‘trainer’s’ in the area that push off leash training and encourage people to let their dogs out off leash. We are over run with lost dog reports because these dogs run off during loud noises, thunderstorms, seeing wild animals, etc.
It’s such an easy fix to put the effort in to take your dog out on a leash and watch them while they are outside. Here’s hoping pet owners step up and become more responsible!
Tiffany, I so agree with you humans are to blame and the animals pay the price with their lives, having them tagged and microchipped is not that difficult for emergencies and it makes me sick how lazy people are. It is our responsibility
It is desperate that there are so many strays we need a special day for them isn’t it? We need to educate EDUCATE. Spay and neuter to make every pet like YOU, a loved and cared for pet. Isn’t that right?
Nili is such a lucky pup to have you as her momma! I’m so glad to see her carrying on the torch to her furangel sister Layla’s cause and being a voice for the voiceless. So important to advocate for these wonderful, amazing, homeless dogs….bravo to you! Pinned to share!
