TGIF! Hi friends, I am sure my sister will be very proud of me as I went on my first real adventure last Sunday which included a train ride, car ride and then lots of fun in a new dog park.
On the first Sunday of every month the Chihuahuas of San Francisco meet up in Stern Grove Dog Park. Mom has been going on and off since my sister Baby was on earth and then with Layla and now me. I know I am not a chihuahua, but we are always welcome and it is loads of fun.
Mom wanted to take me on the train in the backpack but I hate that contraption so she took me on the train without it. The train was scary and I am sorry there no photos but Mom was busy keeping me calm, not getting off and making sure I lay down to keep my balance. I moaned here and there and I have decided that it is no fun but as Mom says I have to get used to it if I want to go places with her. Mom calls it tough love.
Uncle Mark picked us up from the train station and took us to the park, the car was ok but I do not like them that much. When we got to the park the fun started and so much fun and food for both humans and us dogs. I barked, sniffed all the dogs and then saw the big dogs so I started chasing them, don’t tell Mom but Huskies are my favorite dogs to play with woof woof. Mom then took me for a long walk or should I say I ran along the park to the Lake where my sister’s (Layla) ashes are to say hi to her and Mom wanted to sit in the peace and quiet there with her memories but I wandered around and saw the ducks, which I wanted to chase but they were in the water. It is so beautiful there and now I understand why Mom spread Layla’s ashes there.

Mom says I look so tiny compared to the trees BOL

The ducks and turtles on the rock

Watching the ducks
On the walk back to everyone I ran, stuck my head down gopher holes BOL, sniffed a lot and just ran around happy as Mom was relaxed and happy also.

Hmmm Lots to smell
We did not take the train home, Aunt Suzanne gave us a lift which was pawsome as we got home quicker so we could nap which Mom needed. Of course that evening we went to the dog park for an hour and then called it a day.

Waiting to go home
This Saturday night starts Passover, the Jewish Holiday so Mom tomorrow is going to finish getting the house ready, she has promised to take me to the dog park to play with my friends especially as the sun is shining, and otherwise nothing exciting is happening.
To all our friends I want to wish you Chag Sameach, Happy Passover and don’t eat too much oy vey.
Lots of love
Nili
THat really was quite the adventure sweet Nili and I’m so glad you had such a fun time. You will get used to the train I’m sure. Chag Sameach to you and Mom. Thanks for joining Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Terry she had a real adventure which was so much fun for her and me, she will slowly get used to the trains and cars as we start going places more with them. Chag Sameach to you and your family also and as always thanks for your Thursday Blog hop which I love as I so love reading about your cats and their lives.
I always look forward to reading about your adventures Nili…what a fun life you have!
I can understand how scary the train must have been, but you’ll get used to it. Especially when you realise how much fun is waiting for you when you get off!! I had a foster dog named Gunther who was terrified of the ferry, but after a couple of trips he got used to it so hang in there.
Happy Passover to you and your mom.
Hindy I agree with you with patience and going on them more she will get used to it like so many other things slowly.
Happy Passover to you and your family also with a hug from Nili
It sounds like Nili is learning so much! A train ride, a car ride, new furry friends in a new park, and learning what “slow down” means. That’s amazing! I love that her favorite playmates are Huskies. Henry loves to play with any size pup. However, he really enjoys bigger dogs because he doesn’t have to hold back his level of play for them. But some of the bigger pups make me nervous that they won’t adjust their play for a smaller dog. I’m always worried he’ll accidentally get hurt. I’m so glad you both had a fun weekend.
Happy Passover!
Henry says his buddy needs a cookie!
Terri it was such a fun day and I agree with you I worry about the big dogs also but she so wants to run with them I let her but watch carefully also. She is learning fast the commands which is making life so much easier.
Thanks and Happy Easter to you and Henry. Nili says if she has a cookie Henry needs to get one also
What a first adventure!! Sounds like fun and now you have a list of things to practice. I have a list for my youngest dog too after the last big adventure (sunglasses and brush up on walking nicely). Can’t wait to hear how the next one goes!
Tiffany thanks so much and like you am working with her on so many things so we can really enjoy fearless adventures, yours sounded so amazing and I cannot wait t see photos of yours with the sunglasses and next adventure
Oh, was what a fun adventure, Miss Nili! I bet you kept momma on her toes out there in the park while you were off sniffing!
I wish you and momma a Happy Passover, and many more fun adventures!
Pinning to share your adventure filled day!
