Weekend has arrived and Give Away time

Spread the love

Goood Morning Fur Friends,

The weekend is arriving and I am so excited.
Weather has warmed up in San Francisco, summer is around the corner and already all the fun weekend events are starting.

Last weekend the weather was fantastic so on Sunday I took Layla to the 40th anniversary Easter in the Park Event. This event is organized every year at Easter by a non profit organization called The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. They are a non profit organization who have devoted themselves to community service, promoting human rights which includes respect for Diversity. You can read more about them on their website :  http:// https://www.thesisters.org/

Layla with some of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence

It was a fun event, lots of music, laughter costumes of course and people and dogs. We sat back on the lawn listening and watching till Madam started to get antsy so after an hour or so we walked home and Madam fell asleep LOL.

So with that event last weekend and DogFest coming up this weekend the weekend outdoors life with events and parks is starting. I am so looking forward to it and I am sure Layla will be too when she see what she gains LOL.

With all this happening I decided to do a review of some new freeze dried treats as they are easy to carry and light and good for the munchies for Madam while we are out and about.  The treats that I have reviewed are from my favorite company Raw Paws Pet Food and the major plus is that they are for CATS also – yup, time to include the cats too. Of course, when we do reviews we do a give away and Layla has given her stamp of approval that these are the best of the best.

She tasted:
The Free Run Chicken Recipe – I should make her run for these too, The Free Run Turkey Recipe,  The Free Run Duck Recipe, Grass Fed Beef Recipe

All of them are : Grain Free and Gluten Free with no preservatives, additives or fillers. AND are made in the USA with no hormones or antibiotics.

Plus don’t forget with the LAYLA15 coupon you get 15% off your order.

Raw Paws Pet Food also offered to donate the above treats to one of our favorite Rescue Organizations and we chose Muttville Senior Rescue.

Who is Muttville :

Muttville’s mission is to change the way the world thinks about and treats older dogs and to create better lives for them through rescue, foster, adoption, hospice, education, and advocacy.  The tragic truth is that every day, dogs in good health with wonderful personalities are euthanized. Why? They’re older. And because they’re older, they’re not considered adoptable. Muttville saves senior and special needs rescue dogs; finds suitable homes for those dogs that are adoptable and offers end of life care for those that are not. These are not just shelter dogs; every day, dogs are moved from loving homes to concrete cages because their guardians have died or moved or simply can’t care for them anymore. If we had our way, no dog would spend its last days in a cold, dark shelter. There is so much love and joy in these dogs! Bringing these special dogs into a home is not only good for the dogs, but such loving, mellow dogs transform the quality of life for the people who adopt or foster them.

  1. Nice to hear summer has pretty much arrived in Layla’s neck of the woods, and I’m sure she’ll love the upcoming dog show. The treats sound amazing, and I like the ingredients, particularly the free range part. Nice of the company to donate to such a worthwhile cause. Enjoy the weekend and look forward to reading about all your antics next week. Enjoy!

    • Thanks Hindy and I agree they are amazing treats and healthy also. Thanks as always for commenting and Shabbat Shalom, have a wonderful weekend

  2. Oh, that Easter in the Park Event looks like lots of fun! Nice pictures, looks like Layla joined in the fun too.
That’s good to know about the treats from Muttville, sounds like they have a good mission.

    • The company will be donating to Muttville a basket of treats and yes they are an amazing organization. We hope you entered the give away

  3. You two always find such fun stuff to do on the weekends! Muttville Senior Rescue seems like such a great organization, I’m glad that you chose them to get a basket of treats. My dogs would love those treats.

    • Beth thanks and I try to find fun stuff on weekends as it gets me out of the house LOL. Muttville is an awesome rescue and with Layla becoming a senior I decided to share with them. You dogs would and good luck with entering

  4. I have three Treeing Walker Coonhounds and two cats (all rescues). My daughters have one dog and six cats between them, and I love to be able to share with my grand-furbabies, too!

  5. Looks like you had quite the awesome Easter weekend! Nice! I also admire the misson statement of Muttville. I can attest that when I volunteered over the summer, some people would ask about surrendering their pets only to discover nothing was wrong with them. They were being surrendered because they were “too old” and taking them for routine medical check ups was too much of a hassle. SMH Such a shame. Layla I hope you enjoyed taste testing. Good luck to the participants.

    • Thanks Kamira and I agree I am so fed up with people dumping their dogs and claiming they are too old. Muttville is just awesome and the work they do is fantastic

  6. I love your pictures of the parade. Wow those ladies are colourful and amazing! They are also kind aren’t they? Cuddling Layla is such a great thing to do!

Don’t forget to share your giveaway a lot on FB and I will share it on Twitter too!

    • Thanks Marjorie and they were so great with Layla, she is a very spoiled little girl. The give away is everywhere that I can on FB and thanks for sharing

  7. I love the sound of those treats and it’s great they are for cats too. Muttville sounds like a great organization. Support for older pets is so needed.

    • So true Emilia and I love that they are for both cats and dogs, makes life easier. Muttville is a great organization and so true the seniors do need more support

  8. It’s nice to see Layla going out and about with the warm weather activities. In the Chicago area, we just got a few inches of snow last night! Spring has sprung, but winter keeps coming back. My nephew hosted an outdoor reception for his wedding yesterday and it rained and sleeted. Even though they had a tent and a heater, it was a real mess with the soggy grass and mud. The weather in Chicago is so unpredictable.
I loved your photos and these treats look very tempting. Buffy is on a diet right now, so I need to restrict her treats.

    • Sandy it is cold tonight again but phew no rain. Congratulations on your nephews wedding. The treats are amazing and one a day will not hurt LOL

  9. We are having some great weather here too in OR. A great time to get out and enjoy some events with the dogs 🙂 Enjoy DogFest <3

    I have dogs.

    • Shelley thank you for visiting us and am so happy you are having good weather in OR. We all need it. Good Luck with entering
